The Military Family

In the Department of Defense (DOD) 2020 report, 47.6% of service members were married, 31.9% were married with children, and 5.7% were single with children and over 2.5 million military dependents were documented. Military families can face a multitude of stressors and transitions. Some include:

• Bootcamp and Annual trainings
• Deployments and Long Separations
• Combat, PTSD, and Injuries
• Death or Loss of Fellow Service Member
• Sudden Changes to Income or Insurance
• PCS: Moving to New Base or Station
• Global Affairs and Threats of War
• Lack of Support from Family and Friends

The military family is not limited to spouses and dependents. Parents, grandparents, siblings, and extended family can be affected, as well as the dating partner or significant other.

Meet the Founder

Hello, I'm Madeline

I am a military spouse and advocate for families.

I met my husband the year he went to bootcamp. Before our first date, he called and asked me two questions: #1 - Do you support that I am in the military? and #2 - Do you think you could make it through a deployment? He did not want to waste time.

My answer that day and today is "Yes". I said, "I am a strong woman and I am sure I could find a way." We have now done two 12-month deployments and over 10 years of marriage. I wish I could say that military life and deployments are easy. They are not. But, I found a way and I want to help you find your way.

I believe that no family should have to do military life alone. So at Military Together, we are here for you.
